Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball Defeats Olathe South 60-53

The boys’ varsity basketball team got their second regular season win on Tuesday, Jan 10. The Lancers defeated Olathe South 60-53. Throughout the game, Junior Teddy Saylor was the Lancers highest scoring player with 20 points. At half, the Lancers lead 29-25, both Lancer Dancers and the Lancer’s cheer competition team performed. The Lancers maintained their lead until the end and finished the game 60-53. They played in a game against SM Northwest the following Friday, they lost 55-57.

The Lancers will play in a tournament on Jan 19, the tournament is at McPherson highschool and starts at 6:30 p.m.

Senior Lydia Coe is entering her second semester on staff as a photographer, and is excited to apply her new skills that she has learned in Dallas. Some other things Lydia is a part of are SHARE, DECA, National Honors Society, National Charity League and one of the new managers of East’s coffee shop, Columbia Brew. In her free time, you would catch her nannying, hanging out with friends, listening to music, going on walks or hosting at the South Plaza Mission Taco Joint. Lydia is very excited to see what this new semester holds. »

Will Griffith

Sophomore Will Griffith is excited to start his second semester on staff with Harbinger. When Will isn't running down the sidelines to take a photo, you can usually find him playing goalie on a soccer pitch or in the outfield of a baseball diamond. Will also likes cooking foreign dishes and trying them and being involved in The Children's Place teen advisory board. »

Madi Maupin
Sophomore Madi Maupin is starting her first semester with The Harbinger as a photographer and artist. Along with The Harbinger, Madi is involved with STUCO, soccer and is the boys JV soccer manager. In Madi’s free time she enjoys being with her friends and family, playing soccer, going to the lake, driving around with her friends, and working. Madi is so excited for this upcoming semester and the new experiences and memories Madi will create. »
