Gallery: Boys JV Lacrosse Defeats Rockhurst 18-4

The junior varsity Lancer Lacrosse team had high expectations to keep an undefeated record for the 7th game of the season. “I trust in my team’s ability to go out and deliver against a tough rivalry," sophomore defender Quinn Laing said while preparing for the game. They didn’t fail to achieve that goal after defeating the Rockhurst Hawklets 18-4 on Monday, March 30.

In the first quarter, the Lancers were down 2-1 but in the first possession of the second quarter the Lancers scored to tie the score. In 10 minutes, SM East scored four more goals to gain a 4-point lead over Rockhurst entering halftime. Sophomore Mac Christian was the leading scorer of the game with five points and scored the first goal for the Lancers in the second half. Shortly after, sophomore Sam Peterson scored two goals in a row to make the score 2-9. This was Peterson’s first game of the season due to a meniscus injury. In the rest of the second half, the Hawklets scored two more goals and the Lancers scored nine more.

The next junior varsity Lancer Lacrosse game is on April 7 against Mill Valley at 6:30 p.m.
