An Inside Look: Biology Club hosts its second meeting in which members extracted DNA from a strawberry

After advertising on their Instagram account @smebiologyclub, club leaders and juniors Avery Anderson, Caroline Martucci and Maggie Wells host their second meeting in biology teacher Jennifer Davis’ classroom — Room 328. In contrast to their last meeting where they played genetics bingo, this meeting’s activity was extracting the DNA of a strawberry. With instructions AirPlayed on the screen, members followed along and got help, if needed, from the leaders. Fruit snacks and cookies were provided.
