SHARE’s Freshmen Connection held their first annual Haunted Hallway and Indoor Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27. At the event, kids were guided through a hallway while freshman volunteers jumped out to scare them and then were greeted by volunteers handing out candy. The kids invited to the event were students the SHARE program mentors. Since it was the first one, SHARE is looking to work on and expand the event in the future.
Evelyn Roesner is a senior and it's her second year on staff. At East, she is also involved with NHS, cross country, track, SHARE, and Link Crew. While not at East, you can find her hanging out with family, friends or her dog. »
With everything up in the air as ‘rona rages everywhere, senior Liv Olson has one constant she can count on: Harbinger. As her third year on staff kickstarts, Liv has her hands full as co-Head Broadcast Editor, Social Media Designer, and Multimedia Videographer. When it comes down to it, editing videos into the late hours of the night may not seem like something to look forward to, but you’d be wrong! Outside of journalism, Liv is involved in swim team, volleyball, SHARE, NHS, church youth group, and full schedule of AP classes. If you’re lucky, you might get the not-so-rare sight of her karaoke-ing to throwbacks in the car, lifeguarding, or tandem biking across downtown OP. »
![For the first time in 10 years, East will have an all-female Student Council Executive Board for the 2024-25 school year.
The board consists of future senior and president Ingrid Blacketer, future junior and vice president Paige Bean, future junior and secretary Claire Polanco and future junior and treasurer Fina Kessler.
“We see each other once a week every week,” Blacketer said. “We set up together, we volunteer together and we volunteered at the can drive together. So we’ve always been in the same room [and] we’ve known each other for over a year now.”
