Festive Effectiveness: A review over Energizing Overland Park Nutritions fall tea menu

Just off of Metcalf and 91st Street, sits Energizing Overland Park Nutrition and their variety of caffeinated teas and shakes.

As a high school student who spends 35 hours a week at school on top of four hours on homework a night, dance, and Harbinger, caffeine is a go to.  Whether that be a Celsius I grab as I run out the door on school mornings or a quick trip to Starbucks on the weekends, the first step in my day always starts with caffeine.

Recently with the changing of seasons, Energizing OP Nutritions fall menu has been popular among customers aside from their fruity teas and protein shakes. Two drinks included in their holiday special were the Apple Pucker and Candy Corn energy teas.

The Apple Pucker was a purple and green ombre drink on the outside, but carried hints of fruit on the inside. The initial taste was a sour green apple, matching its name to a tee. The sweet and tart aftertaste settled amongst the amounts of caffeine. My personal rating of the Apple Picker tea was an 8/10 for the amount of sweetness.

The Candy Corn tea had a blood orange  appearance of color on the outside. The first taste was a bit overwhelming with sugar, but settled into a pineapple flavor. My personal rating of the Candy Corn tea was a 6/10.

The service while ordering was quick and easy, and the workers were extremely passionate and happy to help with recommendations and questions, like including the list of health inducing ingredients like collagen to boost hair and nail growth. The store itself was covered in pumpkins and halloween decor, fitting right in with the festive drinks.

Overall, my consumption of caffeine since starting high school has resulted in me becoming a self appointed “caffeine expert,” and you’ll definitely see me at Energizing Overland Park Nutrition when I need a fall pick me up.
