Every Valentine’s Day at East, students have the opportunity to send their crush, favorite teacher, best friend or anyone in the building a carnation. These are delivered as Valentine’s Day approaches and are sold to benefit the Love Fund.

The Love Fund helps families at East who can’t afford fees like school lunches, school supplies, bus passes or field trips. The Love Fund receives money through purchases of a $1 carnation or through donations during this time.

“Carnation sales have picked up this week with approximately 600 students and staff pre-ordering and receiving flowers on Friday,” Love Fund director Tori Krebs said. “They are so fun to send and receive.”

Forms for purchasing carnations can be filled out outside the lunchroom on Thursday or printed off here and turned into the front office before distribution on Friday.
