Breaking: Prairie Village’s Blue Moose Bar & Grill to close Dec. 31

Blue Moose Bar & Grill, an East-family-owned restaurant in the Prairie Village shops, will be permanently closing its doors on Dec. 31. The local restaurant’s sales have dropped due to the COVID-19 spread, and the location can no longer afford to continue operating.

The restaurant announced their closing through their Facebook account, posting, “After 18 years, our last day of operations will be December 31st. We have loved being an integral part of the Prairie Village Community for nearly two decades!”

In the post, they also encourage all “guests and friends” to stop in for their last meal or drink from the restaurant before shutting down at the end of the month.

Although the Prairie Village location will be permanently shut down, Blue Moose’s Lenexa, Kansas City, Mo. and Topeka locations will remain open.
