Breaking News: The unified bowling team won their state championship with a final score of 1026 points

The SME Unified Bowling team competed at state yesterday evening in Topeka, racking up 1026 points to finish in first place after six games.

Team members who competed were seniors Meredith Ainslie, Mason Craven, Ben Smith and Jack Shelton and sophomore Blake Danforth. Although only a portion of the team was able to compete, they were all part of the practices and tournaments that were important to prepare for the win.

After placing second in regionals with a score of 826, they end their season on a high note and add a third state championship victory from fall sports to the trophy case.

They took home a plaque to display at school, and their victory was announced today during seminar.
