Athletic Director Debbie Katzfey will be leaving East next year after six years of employment to become the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Blue Valley Northwest High School.
In an email sent to students and parents on Monday night, Katzfey wrote, “I want to thank each parent, student, and Lancer fan for the wonderful past 6 years. I have grown to love Shawnee Mission East and all the wonderful families I have had the privilege to meet and get to know.”
Katzfey’s position has not been filled yet.
