Student Council has announced the theme “Queen of Hearts” for this year’s upcoming Sweetheart dance on Feb. 11. After spending the past two weeks discussing and voting on dance ideas, the elected theme was finally approved by Admin. According to Student Council member and senior Anohita Paul, the decorations are expected to have a lot of red for the card suits, hearts and diamonds.
“We’re trying to get giant playing cards, fill [the cafeteria] up with red balloons, red-colored food and drinks,” Paul said.
Tickets will be available to purchase before and after school starting Feb. 6 which is also a spirit week, and the dance will be held in the school cafeteria.
