The boys JV soccer team defeated Gardner Edgerton 6-0 on Sept. 18, remaining undefeated. The Lancers started the scoring early, with freshman Paxton Weaver tapping in a goal within the first five minutes of the game. Around fifteen minutes later, junior Abraham Casey scored, making the score 2-0. With seven minutes left in the half, freshman Ethan Zickefoose scored from nearly outside the goal box to give the Lancers a three goal lead at halftime.
After halftime, sophomore Nolan Murray scored the first goal of the second half 20 minutes in. Murray’s goal was followed by a score from junior Tiago Ginavin on an assist from sophomore August Bryant. Freshman Ethan Zickefoose scored the final goal, his second goal of the game, on a rebound from a missed penalty shot, making the final score 6-0.
The boys JV soccer teams next game will be on Tuesday, Sep. 23 against SM South at 5 p.m. at SM South district stadium.
