Boys Freshman A Basketball Defeats Rockhurst 56-48

On Feb. 12, the Boys Freshman A team played and defeated Rockhurst 56-48. The stands were packed with parents eager to watch the two teams battle against each other. With Rockhurst being East’s biggest rival, it was no shock that so many people showed up to watch the game. The Lancers started the first quarter with a big lead, but as the game continued the lead progressively got smaller. The Lancers were ahead the whole game, and they never led by less than 8 points. For a moment in the fourth quarter, Rockhurst had made many baskets and were shortening the Lancers’ lead, but they still didn’t have enough time left in the game to overcome the Lancers’ big lead.

The next time these boys play is Feb. 19 vs Shawnee Mission South.
