Q: How long have you been playing basketball?
A: I’ve been playing ever since I was about 4 years old.

Q: Why did you start playing?
A: My dad loves it and we watched KU basketball games so I just became really interested in it.

Q: When you started and when you were younger, did you plan to continue with it and keep being serious about it as you got older?
A: Yes I did. When I was younger I always wanted to be a KU basketball player, but once I realized that wasn’t going to work I really wanted to play for East.

Q: So do you not plan to continue with basketball into college and adulthood?
A: No I don’t, besides for fun.

Q: What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
A: Probably the best part of my game is shooting and a weakness is defense.

Q: Do you have any basketball-related goals that you’re working towards?
A: This next week is big because we are trying to get to the state tournament in Wichita so we have a shot at a state championship, so that’s what we’re focused on right now.

Q: What lessons has basketball taught you that you can apply to other things you do?
A: I’ve learned that if you show up everyday and work hard, good things eventually come to you.
