Abigail Heying
Grade: Junior
Experience: Two years on JV team and one year on Varsity team
“I love getting to dance at pep assemblies, Nationals, and getting so close to the team,” Heying said. “The best part [of tryouts] is when the seniors do the mock try outs. It’s really funny to watch them do the exact opposite of what they do when they always perform. I can’t wait for Nationals, because it’s so cool to get to perform that competitively and it’s in Florida with your best friends.”

“As much as I love dancing, the best part of Lancer Dancers is definitely the bond that I make with my team and coach throughout the year that I love most,” Kauffman said. “Being a senior I know is going to be a huge transition this year. It’s going to be weird to be the eldest and to be the leaders, but I know how much fun that’s going to bring along with it. Missy Linville
Grade: Junior
Experience One year on JV team and two years on Varsity team
“There is so much I love about Lancer Dancers,” Linville said. “I love performing and doing what we love to do, in front of big crowds. Aside from the dancing aspect, I love the bonds made between all of the girls on the team. Waking up at five in the morning is painful for everyone and not enjoyable in any way. But in years past, my favorite part is finding out who makes the team. Meeting the new girls and learning new dances, of course, is what I’m looking forward to.”
