When putting together an outfit, I generally gravitate towards comfortable and functional looks. I can’t go a week without a simple white tee, distressed jean shorts and Converse hightops. With that being said, I often get tired of that look and search for ways to dress it up. I came across this biker-inspired jacket the other day at H&M, and I couldn’t resist it. The black and white detail automatically grabs your attention, and the frayed sleeves add slight bohemian vibes.
You can find the perfect balance between nicer and more relaxed clothing items by tastefully combining them into a single, balanced outfit! Do you have a nice blouse but not sure where to wear it? Throw on a pair of ripped shorts and sneakers. The same rule applies for shorts, pants or skirts: when in doubt, throw on some denim. My personal favorite go-to for denim is 7 For All Mankind when it’s on sale, but I also love a pair of classic Levi’s. I took a fancier jacket and transitioned it into a Saturday shopping look by simply pairing it with my staple items: my white tee, jean shorts, and sneakers.
