Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer vs. Leavenworth

The boys’ varsity soccer team took on leavenworth on Thursday, October 5th at the Shawnee Mission North stadium. All of the seniors and their families were honored before the game for all of their hard work and dedication to the soccer program at East for the past 4 years. The Lancer Dancers and cheerleaders were there to honor the seniors as they walked out on the track one by one with their families.The student section also showed up to support the seniors, and wore pink for the theme “pink out” to raise awareness for breast cancer awareness month. The Lancers scored two goals within the first twenty minutes of the game. With eighteen minutes left in the first half, the Lancers scored again making the score 3-0 going into halftime. The Lancer Dancers showcased a short hip hop performance for the crowd during halftime. After halftime, Leavenworth scored, ending the game with a the final score of 3-1 with the Lancers taking home the victory.
