Wrestling Team is Heading to State

The wrestling team qualified nine wrestlers for State over the weekend down in Wichita. The team will travel back down to Wichita tomorrow, before competition starts on Friday.

“We had a really exciting weekend at regionals, qualifying nine kids for state,” head coach Benjamin Sutherlin said in an email. “ All 11 of our kids competed really well at the tournament and made [East] very proud.”

The team isn’t ranked in the top 10 in the state, but the team has experience, with multiple returning State competitors.
