Since being installed around the school last month, the HUMAN vending machines have been very popular for students who want a snack throughout the school day. They raised over $1100 in commissions for the school from first month sales alone — that’s almost as much as the school raised in total commissions all of last year.
The owners from HUMAN began putting $5 bills on products in the vending machines in early December to say thank you to students for their support, according to HUMAN owner Molly Morrison.
“We did it to say thank you for a great first month, to wish [students] good luck on finals and to say Happy Holidays,” Morrison said.
According to her, they will be hiding cash, iTunes cards, AMC passes and more on products throughout the year as a promotional incentive and “just to have fun with the students.”
“You all went gangbusters this first month,” Morrison said. “So, thank you, thank you, thank you to the SME students!”
