Truck Crashes into Dolce Bakery

An out-of-control Ford F150 bee-lined from 71st and Mission straight into the Dolce Bakery, destroying the front window. No one was injured, including the driver. However, the status of the driver and the cause of the reckless driving is still unknown.

In addition to Dolce’s front window, the truck also mowed through two rows of bushes, hit a speed limit sign, clipped a brick column and damage a steel beam in the store. The store will require a new front exterior, but the main part of the shop is still in tact. Owner Erin Brown is hopeful that the shop will be open tomorrow.

“Luckily the kitchen nor the office was destroyed so we can still bake and take orders,” Brown said.

Dolce’s staff will be having a meeting today to discuss the accident and if they are not open tomorrow they will let the public know via facebook.
