The boys’ swim and dive team will host the ninth annual Makin’ Waves Swim Clinic this Saturday, Jan. 18 in the East pool. The clinic is designed to help kids learn techniques for warm-ups, strokes, starts and turns.

“It’s a lot of fun to see all of the kids having fun, and looking up to us as swimmers,” junior Patrick Hornung said. “It’s cool because that will be them in about 10 years when they come to high school.”

Two sessions will be held for the clinic: 9 a.m to 10:30 a.m. for ages 10 and under, as well as 10:30 a.m to noon for kids 11 and older.

The cost is $25 and each child will receive one and a half hours of instruction and races, a team T-shirt and a team poster.

Proceeds from the clinic directly benefit the team. To sign up for the clinic, click here. Walk-in registrations are also welcomed.
