Boys’ Tennis
Varsity had a match Monday, March 31 against Topeka High School in Topeka. The lancers won the match with a combined score of 27-2. JV had a match Tuesday, April 1 against SM South. East won the match with a combined score of 13-5.
Girls’ Lacrosse
The girls’ lacrosse team participated in the Omaha Spring Fever lacrosse tournament in Omaha, Neb. on Saturday, March 29. A recap of the tournament can be found here.
The girls’ took on St. Teresa’s Academy (STA) on Tuesday, April 1 at STA but unfortunately lost 17-3. This was their first game of regular season. STA is very tough team to beat and were runners up in championships last year.
The team will be playing again on Wednesday, April 2. The team will be playing Lee’s Summit North (LSN) at SM South District Stadium. The JV will be playing at 6 p.m. and the varsity will be play at 7:30 p.m.
Over the weekend, the JV team will be participating in a tournament in Columbia, Mo.
Boys’ Lacrosse
Varsity and JV lacrosse won this weekend. They expect to beat Olathe South Tuesday, April 1 night and also have games on Thursday, April 3, Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6.
Girls’ Soccer
The girls soccer team had a game last Thursday against SM North where the Lancers won by three goals. They have another game on Tuesday, April 8 against SM Northwest. The game will be broadcasted on smeharbinger.net.
Boys’ Baseball
The boys have won their first three games against SM South, SM Northwest and Gardner-Edgerton. They beat SM South 13-2 and beat both SM Northwest and Gardner-Edgerton 8-2. The JV and C-teams are both 3-1 on the season. Varsity plays Thursday, April 3 against Lawrence Free State and Friday, April 4 against Blue Valley Northwest.
Softball
The softball team lost 10-0 in the first game and 6-0 in the second in the season opener on July 1 to Olathe South, one of the best teams in the Sunflower League. Their next game will be on Saturday, April 12 against Lawrence High School at the Shawnee Mission Softball Complex.
Girls’ Swim and Dive
The girls swim and dive team won the Shawnee Mission School District meet. It was the teams first time competing in this meet. The Lancers next meet will be this Thursday, April 3 against SM Northwest. The team is gearing up and aiming for fast times as they prepare for the Olathe Invitational meet in two weeks — a meet where only the top three swimmers in each event from each school can swim.
