SMSD Reconsiders “Appropriate Use”

At the SMSD Board Meeting tonight, the “Acceptable Use” guidelines for social media will be reconsidered. These include the guidelines that prohibit teachers from “friending” or contacting students via social media. The board decision will discuss how these guidelines should be adjusted to the new technology that is bringing into the district. The meeting will be broadcasted on smsd.org.
