The Sheridans have always been known for their delicious custard. Since Unforked opened in June of 2011 at 119th and Metcalf, they have been making their way into the restaurant business too. Unforked is a casual dine-in and drive-thru restaurant, slightly more upscale than fast food. They offer a huge variety of items on their menu plus all of the delicious custard options to finish your meal off right.
As I waited in line to order and perused the menu I was very pleasantly surprised. Tons of gluten-free options and healthier items caught my eye, as well as the burgers I expected to see. After debating back and forth between some of the original tacos like “Citrus Crunch Chicken” or “Crispy Avocado” and the salads, I decided on the “Thai Me Up” salad. A light, fresh salad made up of mango, carrots, bean sprouts, toasted coconut, peanuts and a red miso dressing.
In the spacious restaurant, I had no problem finding a seat after ordering. I barely had a chance to get settled before my buzzer went off indicating that my food was ready at the pick up window. At first I was a little weary of my salad without lettuce, but as soon as I tasted it, I was very impressed.
Unforked is definitely worth trying. There is something on the menu for everyone, and who doesn’t love Sheridan’s custard?
