Former principal Karl Krawitz is currently recovering in a Maryland hospital after suffering from a stroke late last week. Dr. Krawitz was taking a walk while on vacation with his family when he began to feel numbness in his left leg. With the numbness increasing, he made it back to the house and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Dr. Krawitz was treated for a stroke and is likely to remain in the hospital for the rest of the week. He was prescribed medicine and hopes to be released within the next few weeks. He contacted current principal John McKinney on Sunday to update him of his condition.
“Karl wasn’t feeling too well,” McKinney said. “But he said that as long as he continues to take the medicine the doctors have prescribed, he should be cleared to return home to Kansas by the end of next week.”
The Harbinger will provide updates on Dr. Krawitz’ condition throughout the continuing weeks.
