Post-Graduation Party Planning Underway

Each year the East PTA and administration host a party at the school for the graduating senior class. This year’s party is scheduled for May 20. The event will include food, games, entertainment and a raffle.

The chairs of the party are asking for donations from East parents. They suggest that freshman families pay $20, sophomore families pay $30, junior families pay $40 and senior families pay $50. These payments will cover the cost of the event.

The first family to donate $500 dollars for the event will receive four front row seats to graduation, which will also be held on May 20. Parents have the option to pay online or mail their donation to Carolyn Miller (8620 Glenwood Street Overland Park, KS 66212). Checks should be made out to Shawnee Mission East PTA with “After Grad Party” in the subject line.

The chairs of the party are also looking for items or donations to contribute to the raffle. Prizes typically have an overall value of $50. These items could include gift cards, dorm room items or tickets. All raffle donations and items should be sent to Dawn Thibodeau at 6118 Delmar, Fairway, Kansas 66205.
