When/Where:

The 89th annual Plaza Lighting Ceremony will be held Thanksgiving night, Nov. 22. Kansas City, Missouri mayor Sly James will flip the switch and illuminate the Plaza in holiday lights. The switch will be located on the main stage at Nichols Road and Pennsylvania by Brio.

Timeline of the Night:

5-6 p.m.: Pre-show performances and giveaways from the main stage

6-7 p.m.: 89th Annual KCP&L Plaza Lighting Ceremony. Which will be broadcasted on 41 Action News.

6:54 p.m.: Lights turned on, followed by fireworks

7-8 p.m.: Post-ceremony concert by The Elders

When to get there:

Aim to have a parking spot and be by the main stage around 6:45. If you want to ensure a close parking spot, you should get there when they start the ceremony at 6.
