Parent Teacher Conferences will be held this Friday, Oct. 24 from 7:40 a.m. to 3 p.m.
These will allow a more personal conference from the ones offered this Wednesday. They will be in specific teachers’ classroom and will last around 20 minutes.
In the conference, teachers will discuss any concerns or answer any questions that have arisen during this school year. There, teachers can make sure to connect clearly with students and families.
“Conferences are beneficial for sure.” Spanish teacher Jennifer Holder said, “If you have the trifecta of parent, student, and teacher all communicating it is always good.”
The conferences can be helpful if you are struggling in a class or do not feel like you are effectively learning. They can also be helpful if you just want to check on your progress.
“They are helpful because you can meet with your parents and teachers to discuss your grades,” said sophomore Emily Gaverick.
If interested in scheduling a conference, you can call a counselor at 993-6630. If the counseling center cannot schedule you an appointment you can always contact the teacher directly.
