Students Can Vote in the District’s Mock Election

Students have the chance to cast their vote in the district’s mock election this Friday. Voting booths will be set up on the 4th floor across from the counseling center. Every school in the district will participate and the results will be compared to the national results. Social Studies teacher Kelli Kurle sees the mock election as a fun activity.

“To vote, I think it’s a much bigger deal for elementary and middle school level, but it’s kind of fun to see where we stand as a district.” said Kurle.

At the high school level, the mock election results are mostly used by government teachers to compare the opinions from our area to the ones across the states.

The voting will be open all day and will be set up on laptops. Each student is only allowed to vote once and when voting one must provide their student ID number. The results will be posted on Monday, Nov. 5.
