Marvel Breakdown: Movies produced by Marvel are decreasing in revenue

The Warner Brothers’ Marvel franchise experienced an all-time low opening weekend on Nov. 10 with the movie “The Marvels.” For every year until 2019, the franchise has seen increases in opening weekend domestic box office sales. After 2019, the movies have been on a steep decline in revenues. Does this loss of sales relate to a loss of popularity in Marvel movies?

Ticket sales can directly correlate to the movie popularity: as the ticket sales increase more people watched the movie, and as they decrease, less people felt inclined to watch it.
