Galley: JV Lancer Dancers Perform Halftime Show

During halftime of the boy’s freshman B-team basketball game against Mill Valley High school, the JV Lancer Dancers performed their lyrical routine for parents in the stands. The team’s routine was to the song, “Unknown (to you)” by Jacob Banks and choreographed by Coach Alexis (Bubba) Close. This was the team’s last basketball game halftime performance of the season. They only performed a total of four times due to Covid regulations. Last year they performed 13 games.

Especially in a lyrical routine, dancing with emotion becomes more difficult due to masks according to Sophomore and co-captain Grace Fields. Fields says, “I feel that we were able to get lost in the meaning of the song and really express our emotions despite half of our faces being covered by a mask. The atmosphere definitely had more electricity than usual with this being our last performance”.
