Pep Club held an assembly for the WPA On Friday, Feb. 14. The Lancers began the assembly with a performance from the competition cheer team. Following the performance, junior Dexter Stephens led students in the Viking chant. Principal Jason Peres then recognized students who received perfect scores on sections of the ACT and students in the highest percentile of their classes with the highest GPAs. Afterwards, Sweetheart Court candidates competed in a game of musical chairs for a $10 Chipotle gift card, which was awarded to senior Luke LaHue. Pep Execs then promoted the boys varsity basketball game against Mill Valley later that day where they would announce the Sweetheart Court at halftime. Finally, the student body ended the assembly by singing the school song. The WPA was held the next day on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the Aux gym.
