Gallery: Varsity Track and Field Wins in Quad Overall

Hosting the first track meet of the season, SM East won with 98 points for the boys and 96 points for the girls; with SM North placing second with 74 points for the boys, and BV Southwest scoring second with 90 points. Blue Valley Southwest then came in third with 73 points for the girls, and SM North came in third with 71 points.

1st place individual finishers of the meet included: junior Lauren Gahagan in the 400, junior Lida Padgett in the 1600, freshman Cate Conrad in Pole Vault, senior Tillie Feigenbaum in Shot Put, senior Ike Sheets in the 200, senior Wyatt Haughton in the 400, senior Blair Ptacek in the 800 and 1600, senior Evan Whittington in the 300 Hurdle and junior Austin Merchant in the Javelin.

Top relay finishers included the Girls 4×800, Boys 4×400, Girls 4×400 and the Boys 4×800. The Girls 4×800 consisted of senior Rowan Divadeenam, senior Scarlett Pearlman, sophomore Mae Bledsoe and freshman Catherine Beltrame. The boys 4×800 consisted of senior Evan Whittington, junior Rowan Gibson, sophomore Jack Broghammer and sophomore Walt Jones. The boys 4×400 consisted of senior Wyatt Haughton, senior Caden Peters, senior Evan Whittington and sophomore Jack Broghammer. The Girls 4×400 consisted of senior Khloe Kowalik, junior Lauren Gahagan, junior Lida Padgett and freshman Catherine Beltrame.

The next track and field meet will be on Thursday, Mar. 30 at Gardner Edgerton for junior varsity, beginning at 3:45 P.M. The next varsity meet will be on Sat., April 1 at SM South beginning at 9 A.M.

When he isn’t in the J room editing a video or trying to find some tripod piece, Mason is running as a varsity track and cross country runner and is in five AP classes. When things finally slow down, Mason likes to spend his free time with his friends or just hang out at home. »

Senior Lydia Coe is entering her second semester on staff as a photographer, and is excited to apply her new skills that she has learned in Dallas. Some other things Lydia is a part of are SHARE, DECA, National Honors Society, National Charity League and one of the new managers of East’s coffee shop, Columbia Brew. In her free time, you would catch her nannying, hanging out with friends, listening to music, going on walks or hosting at the South Plaza Mission Taco Joint. Lydia is very excited to see what this new semester holds. »

Heading into her final year on Harbinger as a staff photographer, senior Audrey Condon is so excited to see what the year has in store. When she's not spending every waking hour shooting a sports event or desperately finding names for a caption, she can be found nannying, working out, or front row at the Lancer sports games. Within the walls of East, Audrey juggles AP classes, Varsity Softball, Link Crew, NHS, and Pep Exec duties. In her free time you can find her curled up with a book or enjoying her weekends out and about with friends. »
