After an intensely close game, the Shawnee Mission East Lancers were defeated by Rockhurst High School on Friday the 15th. Throughout the game, the glitter filled student section did multiple chants and cheers to keep the energy going during the exciting game. The final score was East 17-21. “Overall I think it helped our team to play Rockhurst. It’s always good to play good opponents. It was a good challenge that will help set us up for success this season,” said senior running back Milton Braash. Despite the loss, the East football team still has a positive outlook for their future season and is proud of their performance during the Rock vs East game.
