The boys varsity football team lost their first playoff game against Blue Valley High on Friday, November 1. The final score was 45-15, and ended the Lancer’s football season. Senior Cole Long scored both of the touchdowns and finished off the last game with 163 rushing yards, and both of sophomore Wade Paulus’ kicks went in. Finishing off the season, the player with the highest number of rushing yards is senior Tony Friends with a total of 996 rushing yards and then Long, who finished off the season with 456 rushing yards. The Lancer’s quarterback, senior Ryan Bolin ended his last season with east with 1,663 passing yards, averaging about 185 yards per game. Junior Preston Reynolds had the highest receiving yards, finishing his season with 531 receiving yards. On the defensive line, sophomore Ben Luetje is the top defensive player followed by senior Coleman Wham. Luetje ended his season with 36 tackles and 23 assists, Wham finished with a total of 27 tackles and 13 assists.
