Gallery: Varsity Boys Soccer Falls to Rockhurst 3-1 in the Final Round of KAMO Tournament

After coming off a two-game win streak defeating both Lee Summit North and Wyandotte High School in the first two rounds of the KAMO, the Lancers were defeated by the Rockhurst Hawklets 3-1. This was the second time the Lancers faced the Hawklets in the final round of the tournament, losing to Rockhurst last year 3-2 in PKs. Senior JJ Paben scored the team’s only goal with an assist from senior Ben Perkins. The team’s record now sits at 3-1-1.

The next varsity boys soccer game is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19 against Gardner Edgerton at 7 p.m. at Gardner Edgerton High School.

Junior Will Griffith is starting his third year as a photographer on staff as an assistant photo editor. When he's not scrambling to edit photos or check galleries, he is most likely on the soccer field in goal or the football field kicking and punting. Will loves spending his Saturday mornings watching premier league games and then watching college football the rest of the day. Will is excited to start the new challenge of an assistant photo editor and ready for the new role. »
