Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats SM South 5-0

The SM East varsity boys’ soccer team is faced off against their rivals the SM South Raiders on Sep. 23. The Lancers' record this season is 4-2 after a loss to the Mill Valley Jaguars. They opened the game at SM South with a goal in the first four minutes into the first half, leading 1-0. The Lancers scored two more times to finish off the half, one of the goals by junior Henry Marien-Brovont. Starting the second half, Lancers kept possession of the ball on the Raiders side, and with 15 minutes left in the half, scored again, making the score 4-0. Finally, with 5 minutes left in the game, sophomore Danny O’Connor, scored, finishing off the game with a score of 5-0, defeating the Raiders. Senior goalie Will Griffith and the defense, had the teams second shutout game of the season, meaning they didn’t let a single goal in the duration of the game.

The boys varsity soccer team will play their next game against the Olathe Northwest Ravens at College Boulevard Activities Complex on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Despite the stressful moments, Harbinger has become a family to look forward to every day. »

Starting her third year on staff, junior Molly Scott is thrilled to be an Assistant Photo Editor. When Molly isn’t helping the younger photographers on staff, you can find her in the library grinding on a gallery that’s due the next day. Molly spends the free time she has on Cava and Chipotle runs, when she should probably be working on assignments for Harbinger. When Harbinger gets too overwhelming — which is every day — Molly often goes home and takes a three-hour nap to forget about all of her school problems. »
