Gallery: Varsity Boys Basketball Falls to Olathe South 57-55

The Lancers fell short of a victory by two points against the Olathe South Falcons on Tuesday, Jan. 15. By the end of the first half, the Lancers trailed the Falcons, 28-21. During halftime, the varsity Lancer Dancers debuted a new hip-hop routine. The Falcons maintained their lead in the third quarter, 45-40. In the fourth quarter, the Lancers were down 57-55 with two minutes remaining but were unable to overtake the Falcons. Senior Will Beck led the game in scoring with 23 points. The team’s record is now 4-3.

The Lancers will face SM Northwest on Friday, Jan. 17. The game will be held at the SM Northwest gym, with tipoff set for 7 p.m.

Sophomore Caroline Hoffman is excited to start her second year on the Harbinger staff as a staff photographer. You will often find Caroline practicing dances for her studio and dance team and taking photos of her friends with her mini camera. Caroline loves hanging out with friends, volunteering through NCL (National Charity League). Caroline can’t wait to show how truly amazing Shawnee Mission East is through her camera. »
