The boys varsity baseball team defeated their rivals the Shawnee Mission South Raiders 10-5 Monday evening. The 10 total runs were comprised of two in the second inning, two in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth. This game was the team’s fifth win of the season, bringing their record to 5-3, two of those losses being by one run. “It was high intensity all game, we had good energy, everyone was clicking on all cylinders,” senior Leo Stone said. “We hit the ball pretty well, but there were a couple defensive mistakes and things didn’t fall our way, but in the end I think we outplayed them and it proved that we were the better team.”
