The Unified Bowling Regionals took place at Park Lanes Bowling in Shawnee, Kansas, on Nov. 13. Competing on Lane 11, the Lancers faced 13 high schools, including F.L. Schlagle, Lansing, Atchison, J.C. Harmon, Shawnee Mission North, Bonner Springs, Turner, Mill Valley, Shawnee Mission Northwest, Piper, Basehor-Linwood and Tonganoxie. Representing the Lancers was junior Jacob Stiles, sophomore Tristan Ogun and senior Jake Smith. After bowling six matches with scores of 132, 122, 140, 111, 106 and 110, the Lancers finished with a total of 721. Turner High School placed second with 719, putting East ahead by three points.
The State Tournament will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at West Ridge Lanes in Topeka. The meet will begin at 1:10 p.m.
