Gallery: Tereré Club

By

Tereré, a distant cousin of mate tea, is served mostly in Paraguay and other parts of South America. Every Tuesday in room 519, tereré is brought to East courtesy of seniors Luke Bledsoe and CJ Manne who started tereré club. With their first meeting of the new year, 10 total seniors and one junior discussed the origins of the drink while pouring themselves glass after glass. Bledsoe brought the drink in an authentic cup and container that he got on a mission trip. The tea was served cold in a special cup with a straw that filtered out the tea leaves.
