Gallery: Sunflower League Cross Country Meet

The cross country team traveled to Lawrence on Oct. 19 for their Sunflower League meet. The races were hosted by Lawrence Free State High School at Rim Rock Farm. In the girls varsity race, sophomore Charlotte Hardy won with a time of 18:53, four seconds ahead of second. In the girls JV race, freshman Charlotte Wellman placed first on the team with a time of 23:23, placing 29th overall. In the boys varsity race, senior Jack Broghammer placed first on the team with a time of 17:05, placing 23rd overall. In the boys JV race, junior Emerson Lindberg placed first on the team with a time of 19:24, placing 47th overall.

After the races were complete, team scores were announced. The varsity girls placed second, behind Olathe West, and the varsity boys placed 11th.

The team’s next race will be their regional meet on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Johnson County Community College at 8 a.m.
