Gallery: Sophomore football defeats Freshman football 14-0 at the Pumpkin Bowl

This was the second annual Pumpkin Bowl for the Freshman and Sophomore football players. Coach Hoover had a Pumpkin Bowl when he was in high school, so he wanted to bring the tradition to Shawnee Mission East. Sophomore Teddy Saylor and Ryan Dehan scored both touchdowns for the sophomore team. No touchdowns were made in the second half by either team. Sophomores who play on varsity weren’t allowed to play in the Pumpkin Bowl scrimmage, but they all showed up to support their grade. Many 8th and 7th-grade future Lancer football players came to support the teams.
