On Wednesday, Sept. 13, Social Skills took their annual field trip to TimberRidge Adventure Center in Olathe, KS. The day started at 8:30 a.m. and ended around 2:20 p.m. Throughout the course of the day, they took part in various outdoor team-building games. Sophomore Andrew Rhodes said, “I really enjoyed TimberRidge, it was one of my favorite experiences I’ve had so far at East”. The trip was organized by the Social Skills class teachers and paras to create a full day of activities to encourage all of the students to get out of their comfort zone and get to know their classmates for the school year.
