Gallery: Shawnee Mission East Class of 2022 Graduation

Shawnee Mission East held a graduation ceremony for the class of 2022 on Tues, May 17 at Shawnee Mission North Stadium. Student Council President Campbell Wood and Senior Class President Sydney Beck gave speeches to their class at the beginning of the ceremony. Each graduating senior was honored and presented a diploma holder at the ceremony. The official diplomas were available to pick up in the office the week after. After moving their tassels from right to left, the class of 2022 officially graduated. Senior Ashley Garverick elaborates on her thoughts about graduation. “All of the staff and teachers were very helpful with helping everyone figure out where to go and what to do,” said Garverick. “The best part was being with everyone one last time and the weather turned out perfect.” At the end of the ceremony, the class of 2021 sang the school song for one final time and tossed their caps.
