On Tuesday morning at 6:02 am, Mole Day celebrations officially began. This year, the event was given the theme of Harry Potter. These activities included things like butterbeer pong and whack-a-mole. As a part of their grade, chemistry two students arrived even before 5:30 in the morning in order to set up all of the activity stations. The event was primarily attended by chemistry one students hoping to receive extra credit. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, a mole is defined as a standard scientific unit for measuring large quantities of very small entities. While the mole may be used to describe small quantities, the number of attendees at Mole Day certainly was not small.
