Gallery: Lunar New Year Celebration

Members of the Chinese Club and Chinese teacher Hau-In Lau hosted their annual celebration of the Lunar New Year on Jan, 29 in room 529 to celebrate the Year of the Snake. Students took part in festivities such as fortune telling sticks, tai chi and an endurance contest to see who could hold a “horse stance,” or a deep squat, for the longest time. Snacks included rice cakes, pineapple cakes and dumplings, prepared by Ms. Lau. The Chinese club meets on the third Thursday of every month in room 512.
