Gallery: JV Boys Basketball vs. Rockhurst

The Shawnee Mission East JV boys basketball team lost to the Rockhurst JV team 36-48 at East. At halftime the score was 25-20 with Rockhurst ahead. “Before the game the coaches wanted us to go out and play hard and physical basketball,” says junior Ben Woods, “but that the same time focus on the game and not the crowd”. Students started lining up for admission into both JV and varsity games at the end of seventh hour that day. East students lined up outside the doors to the gyms and Rockhurst students were lined up outside the pool entrance and were lead up to the gym by administration. The theme for both games was beach theme.  The JV Lancer Dancer team performed a hip-hop routine at halftime and the cheer competition team performed their routine directly after.
