After two years of working in an outside of their art class, the IB seniors displayed their work at the InterUrban ArtHouse in downtown Overland Park. The showcase included drawings, paintings, woodwork, jewelry, and ceramics mediums. In class they have the opportunity to work in all the different mediums that East offers. While setting up for the showcase, senior Katie Crossette says, “The space we had was kind of limited, so I was trying to figure out how to work in that space and if I should tie things together based on chronology, style, or on medium. I just kind of did a mixture, but I tried to make it look balanced visually.”
