As Ms. Miller’s Honors English classes read Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, her first, third, and seventh hours participated in a “survival game” competition. Each class had a leader, hunters, water and fire groups, artists, and a shelter group. Each group was responsible for one aspect of the competition; the class with the best groups overall would win. The shelter groups (pictured below) were responsible for creating a scale model of a shelter for the class from tissue boxes brought in by their hours.
