Gallery: Gus's Dine Day for the Depot Academy

Gus's Chicken's "Dine Day for the Depot Academy" was a one-day event where Gus's donated 50% of all sales to the Depot Academy, a music school that teaches musicians through camps, workshops, private sessions and digital presentations. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Gus's hosted a variety of student bands and performances including East's very own "The Whips". The group of guys made up of sophomores Aidan Connely, Miles Patterson, Quinn Cosgrove, Vincent Lee and eighth-grader Christian Alldredge performed for about 45 minutes from 6:00-6:45. They sang Arctic Monkeys' "Knee Socks" and "R U Mine", Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Can't Stop" and Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower". Gus's raised close to $3,000 for the Depot Academy.
